I'm currently starting up on the eyes for the PankoBun Model.Currently researching ways for modeling stylized anime eyes with various expressions, as I want expressions similar to those.

A little info to get to know the world-building!Katsu is an energetic, lively restaurant owner who has adopted Pankobun minions. His design is based on a cat burger. This was the original design concept and moodboard of Katsu alongside one of his Pankobun friends. In turn, I'm going to create the PankoBuns in 3D software to animate for silly skits with Katsu. So stay tuned!

The process for this was that I gathered moodboards with images of cakerolls and desserts, and of the style I wanted the creatures to look.

Strawbunnies are little “low-poly” bunnies that are based on cakerolls/swissrolls and strawberries. However, there are many variations of strawbunnies similar to creatures like Pokémon’s Alcremie. I created three flavour variants - strawberry, carrot top, and choco berri.

Using Paint 3D, I created the stylistic approach needed to finialise the design of the Strawbunnies which were it's 2D yet 3D low poly look, I will go back and keep on re-iterating as well as create additional planned flavours. In future plans, I'd like to create myself (Passiroll) and the strawbunnies in 3D to make silly skits, similar to Katsu and his Pankobuns, but for now, I'd like to keep it simplistic to sell in my shop and push these cute creatures out in the world.

The game's intended art style was to go for a Paper aesthetic in 2.5D
The Player's animation utilised tweening to further push the paper stylistic approach we were going for

My roles: Lead 2D artist, Animator, Level Designer

The theme of the game jam was masks, so we went for a theatre environment where mannequins would attack you and you would utilise the theatre masks for their abilities that they provide to protect yourself. Day 1 of the game jam consisted of creating concept art of the masks, enemy, and player, and level design concepts of the environment.
Level Design utilised parallax mapping so the assets within the environment was separated to create a 3D effect in Unity. The environment went for a theatric aesthetic so a lot of the colour palette was velvet red, black, and wooden floors to enhance that setting. The concept art and level design were the main focus for the first day of the game jam so I put a lot of effort into ensuring most of it made sense before actually working on them.
When creating the prop art and environment art, I utilised Krita as its symmetrical tool is super reliable, as Medibang Paint Pro still lacks this feature. My process differed a bit, but relatively, it provided results that I am happy with. The only thing I would change if I could would be the logo, but it was severely rushed as this was nearing the end of the game jam.
Animations were done on Day 3. I'm not as proud as I would like to be of these animations, but in the amount of time I had, I felt I did the best I could. If I could change some things, I would love to change the walk cycle of the Player to not be as janky and for the cultist to be more emotive in the way they are conveying the intended action. I do like that the Player's head bops up and down when walking, and I do like how I went for a somewhat more anatomical yet primative approach rather than a chibi-like sprite. While recognizing areas for improvement, I also see positive aspects that I worked on.

Strawberry Cafe is an on-going personal Project since Nov 2024A Strawberry Shortcake-inspired cafe life simulation (Town Sim) role-playing game with romance simulation.Step into the life of a barista who moved to Berry Village to help your friend, Strawberry Mousse with her cafe and strive to help connect the townspeople together through its ongoing social and economic decline

The process for designing the key characters of the game, Strawberry and Lemon were gathering moodboards of their aesthetic and the colour palette I wanted for them. I was considering Strawberry to be pink at first, testing the colours and felt that strawberries are red and it isn't common in media to keep it that way so I tried to keep in touch with the natural colour palette of an actual strawberry. Lemon was more easier to draw as her colour palette is definitive as yellow and lime green as it blends together nicely. The silhouette I chose for them felt like it was a perfect way to convey their motive, personality, and story.

The process of creating this logo design was pretty simplistic as I utilised edge selection to grow in selection and fill. I tried to put elements that correlate to the game's key misc items, like strawberries, coffee, and a cake, but also went for a cutesy aesthetic with the colour palette. This was my 2nd time creating a fully-fledged logo, but creating the Strawberry Cafe logo sparked an interest in creating logos. I also went back to reference this logo when making my own logo for myself.
Cateria is an on-going University Project in production, by Team Nya Nya MeowA cat-cafe task-management first-person game with buffs and debuffs, cozy style vs crazy experience, where the player runs a dysfunctional cat cafe, taking in cats from a shelter who are very temperamental and cause havoc when their needs aren’t met.
